Hello all, I have an iphone 4, and was wondering if there were a way to up the resolution to the 5 Mb advertised. I took a photo of a sunset shot, and found it is just over 1 Mb, however, if it were closer to the 5 it would be a bit more vibrant.

Thanks

The "p" in "MP" stands for "pixels".
Your iPhone 4 has a five-megapixel camera. There is no setting to change that.

As mentioned, you have a 5mp camera and the built in camera app always uses the max resolution. The file size depends a lot on compression. Try taking a picture of a white wall and comparing it to a picture with a lot of color variation and I'm sure you will see a large difference in the file size. Nothing to worry about.

The photo you posted is 0.78MP, probably resized by photobucket.
But 1MB or 5MB, 1MP or 5MP isn't going to make a difference with a tiny little lens and tiny little sensor.

No need to ridicule the size of his sensor.
