Hello all,

This is very frustrating, but I find that when I double click a word doc the program opens up all the previous docs I've been working on today(a few dozen). I restarted the machine(macair running 10.8.2), and still this happens. Can anyone help?

Thanks

Which version of Word? It may be a "feature". :/

In System Preferences -> General, there is a checkbox to control this behaviour. Basically, if you quit an application without closing the windows first, the windows are reopened when you restart it. Either close the windows before quitting, or uncheck that checkbox.
The new Mac Pro has up to 30 MB of cache inside the processor itself. That's more than the HD in my first Mac. Somehow I'm still running out of space.

Or, if you hold option while quitting Word, it will close all windows and not reopen them the next time you start the app.
