Let's say that I was to hold a contest on Flickr or my own website for the best Flickr photo on a particular subject that I would announce. What do you think would be a good prize that Flickr users would actually want?

Something like a Pro account? Seems a bit cheap.
A Digital Camera? Could get a bit steep.

What something in between that would be worth making the effort?

I'd go with a mag subscription.

That's why he's gonna kill us. So we got to beat it. Yeah. Before he let's loose the marmosets on us."

I'd like to be around $100- $150. So maybe a "Prize Pack"?

Call a good photography magazine. Tell them about your competition. Ask them whether they'd throw in a number of subscriptions. Subscriptions don't cost a magazine much, and they boost circulation numbers, which in turn boosts ad revenue, which is where they really make their money. If you can convince them that your competition will be widely circulated chances are they'll go for it.

I would do it for an Amazon gift card or iTunes Gift Card. An SD memory card is a nice idea, except not everyone has a camera that uses SD. Almost anyone who enjoys technology (and thus photography) has an iTunes account or has used Amazon.
