It can be any child you know under the age of 10. Or even what your favorite animal was as a kid. I'm trying to find out what the top animals are among kids for a thesis project. Thanks!

4.5yo is into monkeys.
18mo loves our dog.

I was enthralled by river otters as a lad. Still am, I suppose.

My seven year old son has three hermit crabs that he really enjoys watching, but he really loves our German Shepherd. My 10 year old daughter likes our cat better.

My 15m old son loves cows...have no idea why, he's never seen one to my knowledge except on TV and in the form of a wooden decoration figurine thing at my parents' place.

At the local zoo the elephants and giraffes seem to get the most attention.

In our home:
7 year old boy - Octopuses and squids
5 year old girl - Panda bears
3 year old boy - Pengiuns

Chimps and pandas. You have to watch the chimps though, they can hit you with a glob of **** at 30 paces.

I've always preferred cats.

My 5 year old daughter loves horses. And unicorns. And horses with wings.

My 19 month old son likes destroying things, especially drawings of horses. And unicorns. And horses with wings.

I believe the state you're looking for is "Idaho".
The "Potato State" would have been accepted as well.

6yr old: turtles, monkeys, he loves all pets though.

1 yr old: elephants, polar bears, bunnies.

me as a child: bunnies and horses, cats and dogs. I was more about the animals we owned than the animals at York's Wild Kingdom.

Foxes. My son wanted to be called Reynard for quite some time, he was so enamored of foxes. We've gotten the opportunity over the years to actually visit foxes at sanctuaries, and he still loves them. He's now 21...

It was basically on the Utah border, and the film was directed by a Mormon. I get half credit.
