So, we all know that Florida is the favorite vacation spot for California executives, where they can enjoy great weather and skip away when the hurricane approaches. Well, 2 senior AAPL execs were carrying a double donut just ahead of me in order to enjoy "River Rapids". As they were climbing up, in between commenting how company benefits don't go far enough, the hairy one pulled out what looked like an iPhone 4 but all matte rubber-kevlar look. Checked his email and proceeded to make a Facetime call (no wifi up almost to the top). Apparently it was not a complete vacation, since there were some marketing materials he needed to approve. What was most interesting is that the phone had no buttons or openings, but a smoother finish where the usual buttons and ports are. Somehow the speaker worked, and there was that smooth finish at both sides of where the home button would be. I saw a strange non metallic cord hanging out of his swimtrunk pockets, terminated with a weighty looking cylinder, possibly magnetically latched.
I was so mesmerized at the presence of the iphone and the two tech leaders just tripping so many times trying to carry their inflatable, that in no time we were at the top. The turtlenecked one sat on the back donut so that the raft would be front-heavy (you don't wany the other way around trust me on that).
In between the time they were comfortably seated on the eight-shape, and the time they squeed "WHEEEEE!", all I wanted was something to write on so I could ask for their autograph. But, alas, neither my iPhone or my iPad are waterproof.

I do NOT want to think about whether a Prince Albert improves reception.

Seriously.

It's IPX5 rating says that it will withstand a 6mm waterjet from any direction.
Only IPX7 and above can be submersed.

If my camera can be waterproof, why not an iPhone? I can't see apple putting clunky doors over the jacks/ports though.
