I just noticed the US is not in space news as much as last year, and lack of news can't be considered good news.

Has anyone heard of any activity other than satellite launching? (a feat that is done by 3rd world countries routinely)

I had heard murmurs about private stuff, but said murmuring was attached to the end of the Shuttle program. Once that became old news I haven't heard a peep.

Delays and photoshops are the only news, but I salute all efforts to make more affordable, for profit spaceships.

No US participation in the ISS. Florida rednecks shed a tear
And with Lightsquare's project's fail, at least we can look forward to spy satellites.

Space X has their COTS-2/3 flight (missions were combined into one flight) scheduled for 12:22 PM EDT April 30th, which includes ISS docking for cargo delivery.

The era of Boeing/LockMart boondoggles is over.

Yes, all the layoffs here in Houston can attest to that.

Sub-orbital short-range is... mostly useless.

Sub-orbital at least keeps the idea of space flight in the public's mind.

I blame Howard Wolowitz.

It'll be much easier if you just comply.

Falcon 9 beta?
How many miles should it prove before heading up to the world-owned ISS?

Already did one flight, and will have to do the COTS 2 objectives before they're allowed to do the COTS 3 docking.
