I want to (cross)connect my 190cs with my iBook. Can I use all Ethernet PCMCIAs? Could you recommend one?

ozean,

I can recommend the Farallon 10BaseT PCMCIA card which is a very good product. Any other vendor that has been in the Mac market for some time (like Asante) will also be a good choice, from them you will get good software instead of just kind of software.

Not all PC ethernet cards work in a Mac, so make sure to choose one that does, and this is basically a matter of software.

Walter.

I like Macsense too. I useed to use a Macsense 10/100 card until I bought my New Bronze KB. It worked great for me. Also they are inexpensive too

Thanks typoon, but the 10/100 Macsense card you use needs a 32 bit PC Card port - the 190 series doesn't support this standard.

I went for an Asante card (Friendlynet 10BaseT - "dankeschoen" Walter) and I will keep you posted as soon as I have it.

I would have liked to get the wireless Farallon card - but more than $200?!
