The new Spark raspberry lemonade version looked interesting, but I made the mistake of checking the nutrition facts.

A day and a half of added sugar in one bottle. I get the soda is sugary, but WOW.

I have seen the Mountain Dew hard seltzer locally but never picked it up.

I did get a couple of the Pepsi Nitro vanilla sodas to try, way too sweet for my taste, but I think getting used to sparkling water has ruined sugary drinks for me.

Think of it like extra-salty popcorn sold in theaters. You drink it, become thirstier, and buy more. Perpetual sales machine. Until they learn not to buy this one.

Drinking exclusively diet soda has done this on my end. Regular soda is unpleasantly sweet to me. Of the numerous MD varieties, the only diet one I’ve found is Baja Blast. It’s… okay.

Weirdly I don't hate it. 25 calories, all from the 5% real juice. No added sugar, just aspartame.

I live off from Monster Rehab Tea/Lemonades. One per day. Hope I don't die.

I used to have a constant infusion of Snapple or Arizona diet Arnie Palmers. Still do when I can’t cut the MD with ice. Only like minimal fizz.

Prefer the Snapple.

I would rather deal with real sugar or nothing than aspartame. Just fools the body, you still crave sweets.

Pure Leaf Tea was my work drink. Now at home I make bad iced tea.

Polar seltzer is pretty decent, and you can add lemonade or cranberry juice etc.

If I crave sweets, I just drink more. I can put down a gallon a day.

For whatever reason I only crave real sweets after a meal.

Pure Leaf was what I’d get for people at work.

I had a stent placed in 2004. Monster was fairly new at the time, so my cardiologist was unfamiliar with it. I asked if "can I still drink it it?" "Bring me the ingredient list"

I handed to a nurse who took it back to him. She walked out and said "his exact words were "Oh, hell no.""

I swear sodas are getting sweeter.

Anyone see the spicy Cinnamon Toast crunch?

Just tried one (I had only tried the soda version).

Yeah, it’s not bad. I’d prefer more aspartame. It’s not overly carbonated which is good. I (strangely, I know) prefer my drinks kinda flat.

I think the carbonation helps me drink it more slowly. I've dabbled in the Monster Recovery Arnold Palmer knockoff or Peach Tea, I end up chugging them because they go down so smooth. The carbonation burns enough that I pace myself and it lasts a bit longer.

That used to be the case with me. Then about 20 years ago I had a bad enough episode of food poisoning I tore the anchor for my esophageal U-bend loose. Too much carbonation and I end up with a bunch of stomach acid where it shouldn’t go.
