Yes, your cultural identity is American, perhaps even more specifically New Yorker, but your ethnicity is Asian.

What Malvolio is trying to get at is a criticism of those individuals who can't/don't/won't separate their biologically derviced ethnic identity from their socially created cultural identity.
One should never stop striving for clarity of thought and precision of expression.
I would prefer my humanity sullied with the tarnish of science rather than the gloss of religion.

Or perhaps a at those who skipped over the questions (menu points) too lightly to notice that it said 'ethnicity' and not 'ancestry' or 'cultural identity'...

Heres the explanation. On a 24 hour trip to Florida last year everyone got a little stir crazy and my nickname morphed from seanathan to seaniathan and finally to shaniatwain. Yes my friends are tapped, I know.

People were born when I was already in elementary school, and now they're old enough to talk. Okay, I know you all know what that's like, but give me a break...I'm new to this stuff .

On a side now, wow. It wasn't until 7th grade that I learned how to make a new folder in Windows 98, and 9th grade that I learned how to use HTML. I was already 14 by then...which, in retrospect, is a hell of a lot older than 11.

Lol, damn right, I wake up looking for a fight. Actually, my greatest achievement is probably not the fight, but something else.

Well, about the fight, we didn't start it, but as the saying goes, we finished it. What happened, though, was that I was out with a bunch of mates one evening. As usual, we just sat down having a laugh and my friend went up to the bar to get a few more. Next thing I hear, are two guys who start shouting out from their table towards the bar. I look round and see about seven guys at this table hurling racial abuse at my mate. It was awful, and I was shocked to be hearing this. Then one of them went up to my fried, followed by another, and started telling him to go home, and calling him all sorts, then pushing him. A soon as I saw this (happened so quickly) I jumped up, along with my others pals, and told the guys to shut up, apologies, and go.

At this point they started saying crap about who they were, and they'd beat our asses, etc. So I said, "So, you're not going to apologise and go away?". Then they started pushing my mate, then they tried it with me, so I floored that one, then the next who tried to attack me, and then the rest of them came out of their chairs to start laying in to us. My mates got the rest and I held the third one down until he could calm down, see sense, and apologise.

The place looked a bit of a mess afterwards, not because we were fighting everywhere, but for some bizarre reason, the sailors thought it was rather cool to kick tables over, smash glasses, etc before they even came up to us.

To be honest, I am not violent, or anything like that. But, I know how to look after myself and all that.

I don't think that was a wise thing to say. Prepare for hundreds of PM's begging you to set her up with various MacNN'ers with various degrees of geekiness to boast...
Probably, lol. I mentioned it once before to someone else on here, who has her in his sig with the words,"I'd hit it". I thought it was funny and sent an e-mail to her to have a look.

Yeah, she is, but I don't really tell people.

I don't think I told ghosser that I mentioned his sig to her. She said, jokingly, "He wants to hit me? I'll kick him in the balls then!".

I might try to make something out of the W-Y logo but I'm gonna make it in the new sig size (200x50 pix) when I have the time. Great to have something to work from!

W-Y makes the Umbrella corporation look like the boy scouts

Why do I recognize the name? I can't put my finger on it, but I'm thinking Alien, for some reason.

Anyway, according to this, they were bought out by Wal-Mart:

Yes you are right by thinking Alien.

In the movies W-Y is never referred to as anything but "the Company". The link above is an attempt to explain the Company and that Wal-Mart thing is really funny, but W-Y isn't really ever explained in the Alien movies - except that in AvP (movie) Lance Henriksen plays Charles Bishop Weyland who is the founder and owner of Weyland Industries and makes for at the very least half of what later becomes W-Y.

Yutani sounds Japanese but there are never given any indications in the movies from where W-Y originates on Earth.

Religion: Not that insecure that I need one
You make it sound quite the opposite. You're so insecure that a simple 'no' or 'not religous' didn't suffice, but you had to exuse your lack of faith by projecting your own insecurities on others.

Well done
