Rob, your bio is intriguing. I've put the movie in my Netflix queue, I'm happy that you love your son so much... my dad is on the same cloth and trust me, you will reap the rewards.

I think it's funny how 16-20 year olds want to be into the 'indie' music scene, but they all know the bands everybody is talking about because they're on the radio. What a joke.

I don't know. I just liked whatever music I liked, I didn't care if it was 'indie' or not. My point was I don't see how a band like "Death Cab for Cutie" which I see everywhere is very 'underground'. Once something is called underground, it generally isn't.

yeah Rob is right i guess, once a band is known to be indie its no longer indie - The Arctic Monkeys and Libertines were both like that (to name a few obviously)

Whatever. The whole profile really comes together. Someone claiming to like underground music but their favorite band is not very underground at all, favorite beverage is MILLER, the most generic beer besides budweiser, and he drives a honda civic, the most generic young person import ever. Lemming alert. Oh well. In time maybe he'll grow up and start to have his own likes and dislikes.

I only heard of Death Cab for Cutie about a week ago, and I've never seen them mentioned anywhere outside the Internet here, so I actually thought they were rather obscure. And he never claimed they were underground. He never even claimed they were indie, actually, just that his favourite genre of music is indie music.

'Underground' and 'indie' do not necessarily mean 'obscure'. Most of the music I listen to can be labelled either one or both of the two, but not much of it can be considered obscure.

Plus, the whole 'all indie kid teenagers are just lemmings' thing becoming just as much of a stereotype an 'in' thing as the indie kid teenager thing itself. Cycles repeating.

I can't answer that for him. All I know if my red flags went off a couple years ago when he posted those pics of him singing into his iPod as if it was a mic.

I've thought at length of posting my picture here because, despite the fact that I am not "real-o-genic", I am photogenic.

However since this user name is deeply connected with my former trolling activities, I have decided to remain faceless.

You're giving this crowd too much credit, i.e., you think they care. Exactly 3 people remember your trolling ways, and you're one of them. The other two will simply chuckle if/when they see your picture.

So, I say go at it. And, post a picture of your sister while you're at it. For some reason dudes around here have hot sisters.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

That was a great picture. I think I still have that somewhere. I even remember the song I was singing in celebration of new iPod-ness.

And, to be honest, I'm straight. It was a bit of a personal running joke I have with a friend who's a sexual psychology major. She has some funny ideas about the psychology of sexual orientations, and who am I to contradict people who know more than I?

If it helps, though, I do seem to get lots of compliments from gay guys. Maybe it's my stylish attire and ravishing good looks?! I find it amusing, anyway.

Age: Entering the fourth decade

Profession: IT Sysadmin/Network guy

Greatest achievements:
-10th in Mens Corporate relay teams, Lifetime Fitness Triathlon 2004 (I was cyclist)
25.8 miles in 1 hr 26 mins (fastest time for me that particular summer).
-Obtaining my MCSE2003/MCSA2003/MCP/CompTIA Security+ in 2004.
-My extensive musical discography (http://www.myspace.com/aliensporebomb for a little)
-In three days my marriage will have lasted 11 years!
-I'm actually a homeowner. Wow.

Fav music: complex or unusual

Fav music group or person: Right now? A new band called Riverside. If you like
Porcupine Tree you'll like Riverside too, they sound similar actually.

Listening to now: Kenso from the Yume no Oka CD (sickeningly talented people)

Fav TV show: Cattlecar Galactica or Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (anime - a total mindblower)

Fav Movie: Right now? Possibly Free Enterprise or Rushmore or Ghost World

Fav food: Fried chicken (I try to avoid it, fat cyclists are slow)

Fav drink: Diet coke, water

Fav alcoholic Beverage: Avoid alcohol (fat cyclists are slow)

Fav book: Chronicles of Thomas Covenant I/II/III by Stephen Donaldson

Superman or Batman? Batbat - he's different than Batman.

Kelly, Ruben or Fantasia: No clue who the hell you're talking about.

Rock star or Billionaire: Well paid musician.

Believe in aliens: After what I saw in 1989 it's a distinct possibility.

Believe in ghosts: I have a theory - there are ghosts and there are spirits.
Briefly - ghosts are similar to a magnetic tape playing back so you're seeing
someone who had an intense emotional experience IMBUE themselves into
the environment (generally where ferromagnetic rock is part of the local
environment) and certain conditions are allowing "playback" of that event.
Conditions can include weather, specifically storms where lightning is
occurring. Personal experience suggested this, also, I saw a television
production where a researcher had the SAME theory and was able to get
"playback" of audio recordings somehow graven into ferric rock formations
in a given location.

Spirits then would be human or other souls somehow being allowed to exist
and be seen in this plane. That's a whole 'nother topic.

Car: 1999 Saturn SW2, pushing 110k miles.

Computer: IBM T42 laptop, homebrew K7S5A Athlon 2400 box

Mac: G5 2.5 dual, G4 400, PowerPC 6400/180

Deep dark secret: I'm a sucker for a good romance preferable animated.
I've also acted in a cable access television show, acted in a radio drama
live on the air, and been a "regular" on a call in television show.
I can play seven or more different musical instruments but I can't sing a whit.

Secret aspiration:
To actually appear in guitar player magazine before I expire or to have some
kind of widespread publicity to make my music be available across vast
continental areas. Also, race in some kind of bike race and actually place.
Have a kid someday.

Adding:

Dream Car: Anything other than I'm driving. GT40? Ferrari? Lamborghini?
I do a lot of driving for my job so a Prius would be ideal.

Computer(s):
Already discussed.

Sexuality:
Hetero.

Kids:
None currently.

Relationship Status:
Married.

Height:
5 ft, 6 and a half inches.

Wheight:
Varies wildly depending on season.

Gender:
Male

Religion:
Flying Spaghetti Monster/Pastafarian

Role Model:
There are too many to discuss

Yearly income:
Not nearly enough

cat or dog person:
Cat but I like dogs too.

outdoor or indoor personality:
Both

geek?:
Y'think?

+++ ADDED 4 MORE (Mar 14, 05):

Ethnicity:
White swedish/danish ancestry

Interesting Fact:
It is rare for me to have a headache or a nosebleed

MacNNers on cell phone:
Possibly one that I know of.

Disability/Allergies:
No disabilities but my eyesight is so poor it necessitates me using
a rather severe prescription. Allergies? Probably sneezy in the
summer a little.

Being in debt and celebrating a lower deficit is like being on a diet and celebrating the fact you gained two pounds this week instead of five.
