Hi Subego,

could you please tell me if this photo was taken somewhere in Chicago?

I have plenty of more important things to do, if only I could bring myself to do them....

Dragging it into Google's Reverse Image search immediately reveals it to be Heroes' Square in Budapest.

I didn’t do that. JFC.

I googled “angel green statue column plaza”.

Interesting. The uncropped version got no hits at all.

This is actually one of my favorites in the city.

It has quite an effect when viewed from the sidewalk right below. The tilt-shifted perspective on this photo kinda kills that, and draws attention to the face being janky.

This is a creepy Chicago one outside of a professional organization for surgeons. It’s kinda Metroplis hospital meets a hand fetish.

Man, the debris field leading off to the right is impressive. A wheel, what looks to be a cinderblock, lots of smaller chunks of stuff. I think the statue was merely the final stop.

The people who stole the truck went on a shooting rampage all weekend. Thankfully, no one got hit.

Cops finally tried to pull them over about a block from the statue.

I wish they'd "drive it like they stole it" with their own, personal car. But it's always a stolen one.

It's good that no one got hit, but I'd be fine with the thieves getting hurt. Tell us they got arrested after a shootout with the cops, and 2 are in the hospital.

Perhaps surprisingly, in the neighborhoods I’ve lived in, my experience with Chicago cops is they are inhumanly patient.
