So the DEMOCRATS on the FEC want to control/limit what you can say politically on the web! I'm getting really sick of these traitors, Obama appointees and liberals in general. Just because they can't defend the stupid endorsements of Jerks like President LIAR, or the rest of the current slime in office they want to silence those voices.. They want to go after Drudge, who gets his news from everywhere. Will they go after the Washington Post, NYT, Bloomberg, Huffington etc? Only such shallow traitors like these slime would think its somehow OK.

Will the Political-War-Lounge be next?

FEC Democrat pushes for controls on Internet political speech - Washington Times

Edit: Essentially they want to regulate money spent by political campaigns and PACs online, but I'm not seeing how they can effectively do that given the layers of anonymity and the very nature of the internet itself (a good VPN would thwart 99% of investigations right off the bat). Looks like just another thick, cumbersome layer of bureaucracy that will cause more problems than it will ever solve.

“Some of my colleagues seem to believe that the same political message that would require disclosure if run on television should be categorically exempt from the same requirements when placed in the Internet alone,” said FEC Vice Chair Ann M. Ravel in a statement. “As a matter of policy, this simply does not make sense."
I can't say I disagree with that.

for nearly a decade has protected the ability of individuals and interest groups to take to engage in a robust political conversation on the Internet without having to worry about registering with the government or keeping and reporting records of their expenses.
Can't say I disagree with the status quo, either.

“We’re talking about everyone who’s not a political committee who wants to post, for free, videos on YouTube, blog content, chat room content, create their own website expressing their political opinions,” he said.

Political committees and individuals or groups who pay to have their ads run online are still subject to disclosure requirements.
Oh. Carry on then.

It was one hell of a shellacking at the polls. Obama only thought he had it bad before.
