I recently had my PC stolen. Fortunately I synced iPod & iTunes not long ago so most of my music is on the pod. I replaced the stolen PC with a Windows 8 model and installed iTunes on it. Now trying to sync and get my music onto the new PC, but it says it will wipe them off the iPod. It looks as if it will only allow me to have them on one or the other.
What to do? I'm sure not the only that has been in this situation but can find very little in the way of instructions about what to do about this.

That really blows.

This is common. You have to get an application to pull stuff off your iPod.

To be sure, do you just want your music off it, or everything?

I only have Mac experience on this, but someone should be along with PC advice. You may have to drop $20 or so.

I'm obligated to make a really annoying comment here...

CrashPlan online backup is only $60 a year.

iRip. Best solution but yes you'll be needing to drop another $20 for it as it's not free.

If you had a new mac, I would recommend senuti. I've heard it's helped tons of people.

but since you don't, go with Doc's suggestion!

well thanks folks for the suggestions....wish the damned itunes would just download the files and be done with it. I also backed up my music to a WD drive a while ago, maybe I'll try the "restore" feature.
Sick of computers!
