Hello All
I'm pleased to announce that I recently gained the title of "switcher" in purchasing a Mac Mini. I haven't owned an Apple since the late 80s but felt the time to get one was better than ever. Being an experienced Windows and Linux user, I figured that being able to share an internet connection between my PC and Mac would be a breeze. Unfortunately, it's been quite frustrating. I do not own a router, but instead have 2 network cards in one PC; 1 connected to my DSL modem, the other connected to the second computer (which used to be my old PC) with a crossover cable. Everything on the windows end appears to be correct (the PC has an assigned IP of 192.168.0.1). However, it's from the Mac end that has me scratching my head. I've read forums, tutorials, trial and error, etc, all to no avail. Would anyone be able to describe the step-by-step process for OS X or atleast guide me to a site with an explanation. While file sharing would be handy, I'm more concerned with simply a pure internet connection. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
