I have my two Macs set up to automatically synch with idisk, keeping local files on each Mac's hard drive. But when I disconnect my Powerbook from the net, and bring it to a cafe (where it's offline), I find that the so-called "local" Idisk files have gone away. I click the iDisk icon in the Finder, and see no folders, no files, etc.

What the hell? Anyone know what's going on, or have had this problem? Know of a solution?

This has happened twice under OS 10.3.1, but I can't remember if it's been an issue in 10.3.0.

I haven't heard of this problem before. It could be that the files are really gone, or it could be that the Finder is confused and not showing them.
A couple of questions:
Do they show up when you're back online?
If you look at your local iDisk in Terminal when offline, do you see any files?
When you go offline or back online, does any syncing happen? (Finder window progress bar)

That's why I'm not using it at the moment. If I lose any of my files I'll hunt Steve Jobs down. Synching? I'll copy them manually from computer to computer.

By the way, the cron problem was fixed in 10.3.1.

I'd still like to know the answers to the questions I posed. It could be something else...
