I know at least one person owns it... and I wonder what they and everyone else thinks about the headphone jack being on the bottom of the iPod nano.

I guess it doesn't matter if you keep it in your pocket or wear that weird lanyard thing... but for the people like me that like to hold it in their hands will this be better, worse or the same?

Just curious on your thoughts.

The only thing I don't like about it is that I have to unplug my headphones to unplug the charging/syncing cable.

I dunno... I'm all about this new iPod Nano, and I think after playing with it for a while that it would not bother me with it being at the bottom

If you think about holding it in your hand, the cord does not go behind your hand... its below. The old iPod its on top, making the cord in the way.

It totally makes sense to have the jack on the bottom. With the old iPods when you went to pull it out of your pocket you would then have to turn it around to use the scroll wheel. Not very ergonomical.

when i put my ipod in my pocket i put it in right way up, so when i pull it out it's already the right way up... so in my case the jack being on the bottom is not necessarily a good thing...

however as with most apple products, they've probably thought of all this and we'll just get used to it real fast

What I'm basically saying is that when you grab the Nano from your pocket you'll be holding it from the bottom where the scroll wheel is. The old iPod if it were in your pocket you typically grabbed the screen section first and had to turn it around. Not really a big deal but it makes perfect sense especially if you're exercising. It also goes with the laynard concept as the pictures on Apple's site demonstrate.

Having the headphone jack on the bottom is more than just “OK” - It’s better. I’ve been suggesting all along that Apple should put it there.

I only think i would have an issue with it in my car, I use my iPod with either a portable speaker set or a FM transmitter, this would require me to view it upside down
