I am a switcher that never owned a portable, after reading on different cases here, I still find it hard to choose between the Booq PowerSleeve (49$) or the MacCase (found for 66$). I like the waterfield sleeve too but after adding flap, strap and piggyback it's 95$!). I will not carry my PB every day and I will not put a lot of stuff in it (ac power, cd's and dvd's, mouse, some cables).

Thanks for any advice (pros and cons) from actual users of PB's.

I got a really cheap TechOrganizer bag for my old PowerBook and it's great--sturdy and lots of pockets. But consider the one I've selected for my next PowerBook: the Boot sleeve from SpireUSA.com.

It's just fitted exactly to the 'Book and padded but not heavily--and thus is much more portable than a full bag. Not enough for a trip, but for daily travel it's what I'm after.

Unlike some sleeves, it has a handle, detachable shoulder strap, and one extra pocket (added this year, not sure how big) just in case.

It has my two main goals: velcro (no buckles to put pressure on my 'Book when in another case), and it holds the 'Book sideways (easier carrying and loading).

Any comments from Spire Boot owners?
