Sometime over the US holiday weekend, Berekeley lost the ability to accept returned WUs. We were able to download new WUs until around 10PM (US Pacific time) on Monday night.
Looking at the Berkeley server status page, almost everything is offline or disabled. I think Berkeley started the usual Tuesday outage about 12 hours early.

I dunno.
EVERYTHING was down around 2am eastern, so you must have been one of the last to get any WU's.
The validators were down well before that.
Hard to troubleshoot one of my computers when the WU's can't be validated.

From SETI@Home's front page:
The projects have been temporarily stopped in order to diagnose problems that have arisen with file upload handling. This outage will continue into our regularly scheduled maintenance outage today. We expect the projects to be restarted by 21:00 UTC. Data servers and web pages are offline until our maintenance is completed. Thank you for your patience. QS

I think the biggest issue is, there's a handful of people running a popular project
with hundreds of thousands of users and they just rolled out a new version of the
project that increases the complexity of said project. At some point, even with
dedicated volunteer help and equipment, things are going to break down sooner
or later. The good news is that they have a lot of dedicated people trying to get
things back on line as well.
So right now I'll sit and bemoan my RAC but rest secure in knowing the folks who
run the project are probably running around like mad trying to fix whatever broke.
