I finally bought my own iPod iPhoto.

I came up with these reasons.
  1. I want one so that I can backup my mp3s to an actual hard drive.
  2. I don't have a laptop. So I want to be able to take all my mp3s to say, vacation.
  3. When I go on vacation, I can use this to upload my pics to.
  4. I can drown out the hissing and honking from the gals that sit behind me at work.
  5. I can use it as a hard drive to transfer large artwork to and from work.
  6. Chicks dig it
I am sure I can think of more reasons...

Anyhow, I am happy with it.

I just need to find a cool case for it.

There are two women that sit behind me. They deal with work by complaining about every little thing. Sometimes it's funny. But when you are actually trying to get work done, it gets annoying.

I have nothing against the gals, I just like to drown them out sometimes.

I've got the same situation. It's funny until it's annoying, they you need to drown it out.

It means he didn't own an iPod before this one. He finally broke down and joined the cult with a Photo.

I don't think iPod owners are considered a cult like us Mac users... there's so many freaking iPod users... even a guy at the gym I'm going to now has one... I tried to complement him on it... but the problem is when people have head phones in it's hard to strike up a conversation about their mp3 player

Good on you. The Radtech sleeves are nice. If you want a very sturdy case, get the Vaja leather.

Yes I've heard lots of good things about that vaja case.

Plus, it almost sounds like you are about to say "vagina"

And chicks dig that too.

I've got the vaja case and also recommend it. Order from the Apple Store, fewer choices but the shipping is a lot less than ordering direct.

I've had a good experience with these from Waterfield. Very good quality and a little bit more storage room for headphones. They come with good clips as well.

I honestly think most of the cases for the iPod are ugly and hide the smooth goodness of the product itself. My gf got me some of them iSocks, and while I snorted at first, they've replaced the Marware thingy and the iSkin for both my iPods.

I think you should be touching that bad boy from time to time.

Cases aren't really necessary for the iPod, unless you plan to clip it to your belt or stick it in pockets with metal and scratchy objects.

Pick up iPod. Turn so the silver side is facing you. Read the small text at the bottom, where it says "Designed by Apple in California. Assembled in [Insert East Asian Country Here]."

Damn right.

My 10GB scroll wheel's never been cased, and it looks rough--but loved.

I'm a big fan of my iSkin. They now ship with a scroll wheel protector, so dust can't really get in under the skin, any more.
