It will be interesting to finally see the full specs of the CPU, because it sounds like Xenon's CPU will be the PPE core of Sony's Cell, but 3 of them, at a bit lower MHz.
Now where is Nintendo?

Exactly.
The problem is they play secret and last minute so long they don't get the hype or 3rd party support.

The X-Box 2 will now be revealed a week ahead of the PS3 on MTV. Elijah Wood will appear on the show to rave about it. Frodo, who also appears in an Apple commercial praising iLife, is a traitor.

BTW, some rumours have it that Xenon's bus will be very similar to Apple's Elastic Bus.
Indeed, this is quite possible. Possible doesn't make it true though. Hmmm...

ROFL!
But seriously, if he is indeed an iLife user like he says in the Apple commercial, it doesn't mean that he has to use his Macintosh for games.

It means he should tell M$ to stuff it and support Sony. I want Sony to merge or partner with Apple to beat off all the lame competition.
-Sony. Drop Connect. Partner with iTunes.
-Sony. Forget the Walkman. Partner with Apple to make Sony branded iPods.
-Apple. Licence OS X to Sony.
- Sony. Make an Apple branded HD camera.
-Sony. Drop Windows and Intel from your computers and be the only company apart from -Apple with OSX machines.
-Apple. Fully support the PSP in iLife.
Sony. Install iTunes on the PSP with support for iTMS.
-Sony and Apple. Put your heads together and make the best HD creation products out there for consumers at a great price.
-Pixar. Screw Disney. Make films with Sony.
-Apple. After Pixar-Sony films finish their theater run have them available for streaming only to people with Apple and Sony computers running OS X.
-Apple and Sony. Allow people to buy or rent movies on iTMS and allow them to sync movies to the PSP.
-Sony Ericsson and Apple. iPhone - VoIP, use with iChat, GMS, etc.

Ironically, out of the Xbox 2 and the PS3, the Xbox 2 is much closer to a Mac, design-wise.

Looks ok to me, it is like the current one minus the useless black and white buttons. Oh and wireless.

Still sucks. The rule is if the Japanese don't like it it's no good.

haha. Piece of irony -- Sony did the Playstation in white, the Playstation 2 in black..
Looks like MS is doing the same but opposite -- Xbox in black, "Xbox 2" in white.. whether or not they call it the Xbox 2 is questionable.. though knowing MS and their crappy naming schemes, it'll either be Xbox 2.0 or Xbox 2005... or maybe Xbox Xenon or Xbox Longhorn.. or maybe Xbox XP!

It's called 360 because it has a drum shape. The value pack comes with a Taiwanese factory floor worker who shouts at you when you're not playing well. Just press 'Help' on the controller and he climbs out of the X-Box 360.
X-Box 360
Red Dragon Special Value Pack Edition

I wonder if the price of the xBox (1) will drop to $99. My better half and I have been thinking about getting one but with the new one just around the corner we figured we would wait. I don't care about getting the latest and greatest because I'm not a big gamer and she just wants to play some football.

I wonder if this means that Virtual PC 8 is near and will accelerate 3D with the video card.
Reportedly, Virtual PC is the key to XBox backward compatibility.

Don't like the controller, but I have a pair of wireless controllers anyway.
Anyone know if X1 games will play just fine?

Well they do have "loose" pockets.
And I am sure they will be a success and move from second place to close to third. Quite sure nintendo will flop or stay in a very far #3.

C'mon, how much better can you get? A great gaming system (better than ps2) and M$ loses money on each set sold.
