Famitsu also thought REmake was worth 39. And The Bouncer got a 31!

Not surprising that this game goes down well in Japan, though. They're crazy about their virtual pets. Anyone remember Tamagochi?

Yeah, I thought this 'Nintendogs' thing was just a tamagotchi with better graphics. Why is it so good/popular? For the same reason as tamagotchis were popular? Or does it have something good/different that I may actually find interesting?

Seconded. Like you, I thought these were just some tamagotchi-type thing; maybe you used the touch screen to pet the dogs or something. If it's getting reviews like this, though, then I have to say I'm intrigued.

That said, Nintendo's statistics aren't as good as they sound. Although they're selling more than twice as many systems as Sony, over 80% of Nintendo's sales come from a single system -their newest- and both of Sony's systems are doing better than Nintendo's other three systems combined. This is a sad thing.

X-Box, however, is getting pwned no matter how you slice the numbers, and this makes me happy

Oh, for God's sake. There are better games on the DS than that. Buy a bird, or a better game, but Nintendogs????

It seems like the game is aimed at the female crowd in Japan, judging from the nintendogs site.

Anyone know if the game is popular with the ladies over there?

It's a pretty trippy game. My girlfriend would probably want me to buy it if I had a DS.

So, who wants to take bets on when someone released a Lil' Brudder mod for the game?

Wow. That looks really cool IMHO. It's good to see something other than racing games or FPSs.
