Since the new forum platform launched, there have been complaints about the small font size and how that (and a few more things) make it hard to use on iOS devices. That has been reported and we hope we will get a real fix, but in the mean time, here's a workaround.
Put it simply, you make a bookmarklet with Javascript. The code comes from
here, and the procedure to add them on iOS is as follows:
1. Make a bookmark of any page. Enter the title "increase font size" or something and save it.
2. On the main bookmarks screen, push Edit and select the bookmark you just made. This lets you edit the URL.
3. Copy the following snippet of code and paste it in place of the URL that is already there:
javascript:var p=document.getElementsByTagName('*');for(i=0;i< p.length;i++){if(p[i].style.fontSize){var s=parseInt(p[i].style.fontSize.replace("px",""));}else{var s=12;}s+=2;p[i].style.fontSize=s+"px"}
4. Save the bookmark. On the iPad you can put it on the bookmarks bar if you like (in which case a title like "+" would probably be appropriate) - on the iPhone it will have to stay one level down. Every time you select this bookmark, the font size on the current page is increased.
If you want a button to decrease font size as well, the code for that is on the page above. Hopefully this can tide us over until we get a more permanent fix from upstream.
