New customers should be able to give the name of a non-Apple employee who may have been instrumental in their Mac purchase decision, and this person could receive like $20 gift certificate or something.

I have now convinced two people to sell their PC laptops and buy iBooks, plus encourage one wavering lawstudent to buy an iBook rather than a PC.

In previous years I convinced my boss at Barclays, VP of Operations, to buy a 2d gen iMac and convinced my sister to buy one of the original iMacs too.

About the only guy I can't convince is my father, a former Apple user who has since turned to the Dark Side and worships Dell. But I believe there is still some good left in him, I have not lost hope!

My Dad is the guy who got me using Macs. I could never understand why people would put up with PCs.

I've never switched anyone though.

In the last week, I have purchased (directly, myself):

- 900 MHz iBook (BTO) for myself
- 800 MHz iBook for a friend
- 1GHz eMac for my aunt
- 15GB iPod for myself
- 10GB iPod for my brother

In the last week, indirectly (through my influence):

- PowerBook G4 12"
- iBook 900
- iBook 900
- iPod 10GB

In just a week.

Apple should be paying me

Why would apple spend money to get the same results that so many people go out of their way to do for free?

Not quite as impressive as Ciph, but this year:

2 1ghz iMac's
1 Powerbook G4 15"
1 Powerbook G4 12"
4 iPod's
1 iBook

All somehow directly related to my influence.

You're weird. You complain constantly about how Macs suck, then you go buy 3 of them.

At work I have convinced many hundreds of people to keep and purchase more Macs. Recently we replaced 4 Dells with 17" iMacs. Yesterday we ordered a 1ghz eMac with superdrive for a secretary who until now has been using a Dell. Another 1ghz eMac with combo drive for a lab that almost got a Dell.

The eMacs 1ghz with a gig of RAM is very nice. I'm rather impressed in the space it saves, how well it fits into the dynamic and in addition the space it saved. The swivel stand is also really neat.

Since putting airport into my house...my mom's iBook works w/o a hitch...and my dad's not very happy with his VAIO...a PB soon?

anyway, my sister's going to school soon, and wants an iMac...
also, 2 of my good friends are "sick of the sh*t" and want the "ease of use" that I've shown them... and ones getting a 12" PB and the other an iBook!

not bad for a year's wook

just gotta get my dad a PB! and my mom and iSight so she can use it w/ her iBook.
