Hey.
When I click on the "call of duty MP" icon, it goes to the Multiplayer game. Then I put my serial number and press Verify. It writes :

"The cd key appears to be valid".

when I join to sever, it writes:

"The cd key is in use. try to reconnect later" (or whatever)

So, what do I do? thanks a lot

It seems as if you are using a pirated CD key that other people are using as well
Get your own CD key and the problems will probably be gone.

Ring the supplier and ask for a replacement.

If you've bought it, ring the store or developer and get a new key.

If you've pirated it, well, duh. Figure out what your time is worth, in dollars per hour (if you work freelance, this should be easy), and then figure out how many hours of fiddling with stolen software is equivalent to having bought it in the first place.

I don't mean to sound like I'm on a high horse at all, I just find that that mindset helps put things in perspective.

No need to harp on the OP for "using pirated software". Getting bounced off a MP server for having because your key is already in use can happen with legitimately purchased software as well, I noticed.

You are correct, but experience has shown that the majority of "fresh faced recruits" who come here asking a question like this are asking about pirated software, for which we don't offer help.
