No good idea of their own, so they just steal Burger King's

BK took a huge chance on those ads, and they are really funny.

McDonalds now wants to copy the style

Well isn't that an ironic twist.

When McDonald's first started to be super successful, Burger King came to be. Burger King copied absolutely everything about McDonald's services. Everything. In fact, their founder and former CEO said that "If McDonald's had decided to have everyone stand on their head while serving food, we would've done the same."

Funny.

I detest those BK ads.

It's a good job I'm on a life-long boycott of BK for something else otherwise I'd have to boycott them for having crappy ads.

I love the BK ads. The King and Dr. Angus both.

Have any of you heard McDonalds' radio ads? They're horrid.

I prefer the food AND advertising of In-N-Outs. It's so good that besides using billboards to show where a store is located, they only have to rely on people like me always saying In-N-Out is the best whenever fast food is brought up. See, I just did it! That might be an annoying style because I just went off topic, but it seems to be working well enough.

I don't care so much about advertising. I like the whopper, its delicious taste has a special place in my heart (in more ways than one).

The BK "king" is creepy. Old Ronald was cool for a clown, and very kid-friendly. Now McD's is aiming to keep the market they bought with the Kid's Meal. Can't blame 'em.

Don't try their McGriddles or you'll have another urge to resist. A pancake sandwich with eggstuff, fake cheese, sausage, bacon, and syrup with a side of some sort of hashbrown lump. Sooooo good. I'm glad they got rid of the McRib, that was my other McD's weakness.

Krusty the Clown's rib sandwich.

"Pork?" he is asked.

"No, think smaller and more legs" he responds

mmm. McGriddle. I have to admit, McDonalds food is awful, but their breakfast is good. If i'm ever awake on the weekend at that time I get a Bacon, Egg and Cheese McMuffin and McGriddle.

agreed about the mcdonald's breakfasts, especially those oval-shaped hash brows.

i like wendy's the best, plus the fact that you can choose a side besides fries.

it's a safe bet that bk is more of a direct competitor to mcdonald's than wendy's considering that they don't serve breakfast at all.

and of course, wendy's owns tim hortons which i've never been to.

You like Chicken Fries? I tried them once and was decidedly unimpressed. There's very little chicken in them at all. I'd rather get regular fries and chicken tenders if I'm in the mood for chicken bits.

Yeah, a friend commented immediately after the McD ad first came on: "So...they're copying BK now?"

McD took a real dive with the "I'm loving it" advertising. They need something better, though, because Ronald is just a poor simulacrum of the King.

Not that it matters; McD has so many people addicted to their food already.

Seldom do I eat fast food. Rarely more than once every couple months (and even then, it's usually something relatively healthy, like Subway).

I'll have to agree with the former. Early-morning flights might make me swing by BK on the way over. The croissanwich is bliss

I tried one chicken fry out of a friend's order on Superbowl Sunday, though, and boy, what a TERRIBLE aftertaste. Awful.

I don't have all that much faith in fast food restaurants.

I haven't eaten fast food of that sort in years... and I'm content.

Don't try to outweird me, I get stranger things than you free with my breakfast cereal.

I exercise a lot so don't have to worry about occasionally enjoying some fast food crap. You don't have to be a Puritan about fast food if you go out and be active instead of sitting on the computer or watching TV all day. Everything in moderation really is a great saying. You don't have to stop doing every bad activity completely if you just find some balance.
