I downloaded a t.v. show last nite from iTunes. Using a Mac-mini (intel) purchased last Oct, and all OS etc. are up to date with latest updates from apple. This is the only computer I use for this task. I had 30 minutes prior just downloaded about 8 songs which I synched to my iPod Touch (has the 2.0 update). My plan was to synch the t.v. show as well (42 min long). When I clicked SYNCH it indicated "synch in progress" on my iPod (fully charged and connected) but it never did so. When I clicked on the movie on the mini, it looked like it was playing, showing the slider bar, time elapsed, time left etc., but no video or sound (speakers were on). I read the iPod manual again but didn't see any steps I missed. So what's up with this, or have I been ripped off? Also - it took 35 min to download a 42 minute show? On high-speed DSL? How long does it take to download a 3 hr movie? 3 hours? Doesn't apple have any file compression? I doubt if I'll go thru that again. I can't imagine too many other people would either!

Well, I found out that I had to go to the synch screen and then select the "t.v. shows" tab at the top and hit the check box to indicate I wanted to download it. I would think this should be intuitive, but whatever apple was thinking..... At least when I did select it, Synch began automatically. Odd. So now it works on the iPod. I haven't yet figured out how to make it play on the mini though. I'll keep looking around, because some things you just want on the big screen, right?
