Hi there!

I've seen a few screenshots around where the dock features the apps as letters instead of icons (i.e. instead of the finder icon you have FNDR).

Anyone know how to do this? Is it an application? a hack? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

They're actually icons.
You can find a set here and here.

You're welcome at my Download section (click my sig) where there's a few flavours of my EXTapp icons.
My very first submission here (must be about 2 years ago) already had them - but at the time nobody noticed me the n00b
It's amazing to see how many mac and pc users are doing their own thing with the concept these days.

You could also do what I do now and then. Use DragThing's system dock and turn off icons. I somewhat prefer this over changing the icons as this way the icons remain what they should be elsewhere, and I get the entire name of the app and not an abbreviation (and it's a custom font!).
