Hello all,

Could someone advise me on a way of monitoring web access through my home network. I would like to be able to see a report of all the domains accessed by the connected computers.

My configuration is:
tiBook 550 (connected wirelessly)
iBook 800 (ethernet)
A PC Notebook (ethernet)

ADSL
Netgear wireless router DG824m

Thanks for your help,
Yaron

sudo tcpdump -q -i interface_name "port 80" and "tcp[13] = 2" > trace &

That will show you every SYN packet over port 80 in a quick output format and dump to a file called trace. Based on your network architecture I think it may be tough to put a device on that network sniffing this traffic unless you have a hub you can put between your router and modem, and have a box you can put an interface in promiscuous mode with no IP address to monitor traffic.
