Yes, all you had to do was read up from your post and it clearly states that he is having problems theming Safari in ThemePark... which would make it a guikit which in return would require you to use ShapeShifter...

Not to mention the fact that you use ShapeShifter for just about every theme out there.

Oh, and dragun415: It looks really awesome

Alright, just sent out a second beta to testers. New fixes include:
brighter widgets, fixed problems with popup buttons in carbon, menu enhanced selections, progress bars (still not happy with it), new scroll bars.

Still can't figure out safari... Took themepark to work and safari skin loaded up just fine, but when i brought it home, same ol problem.... anyway... i skinned safari at work but i couldn't test it there nor at home so, if anyone thats beta testing can post/send me a screenshot, that would be great....

As for a public beta, maybe soon.

anyway heres a screenshot.

Text color is the biggest issue that needs to be worked on. Other than that, it sure is looking great.

I'm getting mostly the light grey text in white text fields (like this one and Finder columns view).

Hm, just had a thought... I can't remember if anyone else brought up color variants, but I think that a green variation would be awesome. Matrix-ish without being overly so.

I really can't wait for this to come out though

Make sure that the control text is dark, that way the layers text in photoshop will be seen.

He might have to compromise and make the window backgrounds lighter then... Text color is still the problem with making dark themes right now.

Just add Photoshop tot he exclude list like I do. I don't think the look of a whole theme should be compromised because of one app that only graphics professionals and hobbyists use anyway.

Personally, although even though I use Photoshop all day long at work, and a fair bit at home too, and am a complete dark theme freak, I really don't mind suffering Aqua whilst working away in said application.

Yeah. I did go hunting through the app and it's resources once for the file that might be responsible, but to no avail. Maybe it uses some old, obsolete-but-still-present resource in OSX?

I tried to post this a week ago but couldn't post for some reason. The Photoshop resources are stored in
Adobe Photoshop CS/Contents/MacOSClassic/Adobe Photoshop CS

You can open that in Themepark and see the resources.

That file is the actual Photoshop executable. I don't know whether ThemePark can edit it and preserve its executable-ness, so definitely keep a backup. The file contains the Photoshop executable in the data fork, and the resources in the resource fork.

Hmmm, actually, it seems that ThemePark 1.3 can't edit it. My current build can, so you may need to wait a few weeks.

I don't think I'll ever be able to add an application skin template to ThemePark for use with ShapeShifter for Photoshop. Having the executable and the resources in the same file sorta screws me on that.

But at least if you're someone that really needs their Photoshop graphics to look like someething else, you've got a way to do it.

Yeah, I've been working on the text colors. It's impossible to get photopshop to work with it perfectly without making some compromise. May be the new SS will help in this area. General text usage seem to be working for me, except in a few other instances, like the area under mail where it displays how many messages you have... its a gray on gray with not enuf contrast, gotta find where its assigned in themepark.

Progress: Still been working on the touching up a lot graphical elements... redid the progress bar (the last version was pretty icky)... I'm finally happy with the scroll bars (made them more minimalistic). Metal windows now have beveled edges and rounded corners.

Thanks for all the help!

Something tells me that it could be worth holding that theme until you get your hands on the TP and SS updates. Could make it a lot more usable.

I agree. Neos and other dark themes have used colored text in windows before. Either way, I think everyone would like a chance at a public beta, even if there are a few minor tweaks to be done before final.

I wouldn't count on much improvement over text colors if I were you... nothing worth holding off on a release for, but I'm sure you'll want to update it when the SS and TP updates are out.

Very sleek dark theme indeed... and I do believe that perhaps a change in text colour will definitely make it more usable for release in the near future.

I'm mostly concerned with text colors. It's hard to use a dark theme that doesn't have text colors setup right... I haven't gotten beta 3, but "v02" has enough text color issues that I can't use it indefinitely, even Finder's columns view is in light grey text. Aside from the text colors, there were just a few little things to be polished. I also agree that iTunes should be made black, or really dark grey.

Hi y'all,

Okay... Here's an update.

I recently made the latest beta.
Most of the theme is working except I still want to redo some buttons and remainder of menubar items. Just fixed an issue with the progress bar.

Just added ichat and completed safari skin!

Here's a screenshot of some open windows and apps:
