Just a quick question. We just purchased the Final Cut Studio package and love it on our G5. As we speak, I am loading it onto my Powerbook. Its a G4 1.5ghz, 128m radeon, 80gb 5400rpm hd, and has one stick of 512mb in it. I realize for video I need an external HD, which I have. But I was just wondering how many of you guys use a Powerbook for these apps. How much RAM do you have? I purposely left an open slot hoping to add a gig stick in sometime, and this may be the time. So how much RAM do you have, and how much do "you think" is necessary, not what the box says. Thanks guys!

I work on a 17"PB 1,5Ghz 128MbVideo and 1*1Gb, with seperate FCP, Motion, DVD-studio Pro.

The biggest investment to change my "old"PB into a PB with 128Mb video.
The 1Gb I use now is just enough, but you need more rendering and Motion knows some problems if you change speed morethan twice normal speed.

At this moment I am looking for extra RAM from 3rd party.
So by experience I recommend 2*1Gb.
Don't believe what you see.
