I was at my local Best Buy store (Fair Lakes, Virginia) and happened by the PDA section. I noticed that the new Handspring Treo 180 (Keyboard model) was listed for $299 with activation. I asked the salesperson if this was a special sales price as it normally sells for $399. She said that she thought that was the daily Best Buy price.
Unfortunately, Cingular is the carrier for the phone when purchased at Best Buy.
Also, she was unfamilar with the Treo's compatibility with OS X and Palm Desktop Software 4.0; So, anyone with a Treo running OS X and Palm Desktop 4.0.
I currently use AT&T, but my contract expires at the end of May 2002. I would hate to lose my current phone number (but I would love to upgrade my PDA from a Palm 505m to the Treo - one less device to carry around. Actually, two less devices as I could get rid of the pager as well).
