My wife had a Kensington Wireless Studio Mouse on her iMac which continuously would freeze . She got so fed up she asked me to remove it and put back the Apple mouse that originally came with the iMac.

The strange thing is that the original Apple mouse is acting funny, the cursor jumps all over the place, especially when I move the mouse toward the lower right hand corner of the screen.

The only two settings I see under the Mouse stting in System Preferences is the tracking speed and the double click speed.

Is there anything I can do to fix this problem?

Both strange and erratic mouse behaviour... scary.

The Apple mouse is optical, so is there any chance that it's simple the surface that it is being used on? The grain of the wood, or surface, etc, can make the cursor jump around.

Don't know what type the Kensington mouse is/was so this is the only thing I can suggest.

i don't know if it is just my problem, but i seem to notice that every mouse that i have used in OSX so far has the problem you described. When you move the cursor to the lower screen, it would jump. So far i found no cure at all.
