On their day off people would show up all the time. Everyone in camp knew if you wanted to work out your frustration you show up at the PUC tent.1 In a way it was sport. The cooks were all U.S. soldiers. One day [a sergeant] shows up and tells a PUC to grab a pole. He told him to bend over and broke the guy’s leg with a mini Louisville Slugger, a metal bat. He was the ****ing cook. He shouldn’t be in with no PUCs.
— 82nd Airborne sergeant, describing events at FOB Mercury, Iraq
So tell me. Will the US still defend and spin this? Or has the time come to just accept that the US does this and start legal action against some other than a few grunts?

To those against whom war is made, permission is given (to fight), because they are wronged;- and verily, Allah is most powerful for their aid

We're allowed to do those things, because we're the biggest and the best. We just can't allow other countries to do those things.
Why is there always money for war, but none for education?

We've changed our handling of insurgents since the Abu Gharaib scandal. Instead of arresting them, we simply kill them on sight. Something we should have been doing all along. There's a reason we were the only nation that gave our enemies a second chance at living - the reason was stupidity. It won't happen again.
