Seems if you want to block someone, you have to do two rounds. One on iphone, calls wont do it. For messages you do rigmarole for that too correct?
And for messages, I think you have to add the person to you contact, and then block them and then keep them in your contact forever, something like that.?

If these are bots, there's no point blocking them, it's a new number next time. Try an app called youmail.

Andi, well this case was not a bot real person: So for that, is my assumption correct, you have to do two round. And what is easiest way to block someone from messenger - very confusing there, messenger.

Now for Robo Calls, getting tons of those, that all iphone. My verizon rep says to block those number even then as those numbers then are our hair just in case. You think waste of energy?

get youmail. it stops 97% of robocalls, if it works with your cell provider. For verizon I think it does.

Not bothering shopping for those anymore as I did long draining back and for the, can't remember name, similar anti spam company and they do not allow a spammer to leave a voicemail; and being in business, self employed, I cannot take change of false positives. ie, I don't trust they get it right 100%. Verizon does have some app, that does allow the spammer to leave a voicemail, which I want, but I cannot have it as it's only for post payplans, and I'm in pre pay plan. If you know if You mail allows the adsumed spammer to leave voice mail, let me know . I don't have energy to research it. Of course, you may understand what I saying here.

If you someone else has answers or opinion to previous question still let me know:

1-what is easiest way to block someone from messenger - very confusing there, messenger.

2- r Robo Calls, getting tons of those, that all iphone. My verizon rep says to block those number even then as those numbers then are our hair just in case. You think waste of energy?

Messenger (the Facebook app) or Apple Messages?

If Apple Messages, there's a section in the preferences for blocking people. It's called Blocked.

If you're talking about Facebook Messenger, I have no idea. Frankly, I'd be surprised if Facebook let you block anyone. If there is a setting for blocking people, I suspect it's buried somewhere on the Facebook website itself. There's no Block setting in the iOS app.

Thor, sorry, Apples Messages. Easy to confuse when they name app almost same name!

Don't see anything in preferences that answers still main quesiton of this thread how to block someone is messages.

ffs.
You'd have to try youmail, to see how it works for you. For me it got rid of spammers. I don't get many business calls but as long as your potential customers don't begin their message with "Hi, this is Clarissa from Card Protection" it should help. It does record messages and transcribe them.

You have to do some effort here, we can't do it for you.

It’s right there in the Messages settings. It’s a section called Blocked. If you can’t find it, I don’t know what to tell you.

It has list who has been blocked. Does not say how to achieve a block, of course comes back first question which was not answered, does a phone block also achieve a message block?
