my office firewall blocks most websites - thank God macnn is not one of them - so I can't see the pic, but here goes..
have you tried the green button on the iTunes window?
not sure if this solves ur problem...

bookofjames is correct, click on the green button. You can make it even smaller still by resizing it.

what happened to people just clicking everywhere and seeing what happens? what are people afraid to break something?
oh well, at least that'll hopefully be a lesson never forgotten: always click everywhere before you ask a simple question and appear to the rest of the Mac community like a newborn n00b.

mugget, u can't really blame djlotek...
cos in iTunes for windows it does a totally different thing - that button actually maximizes the window to full-screen.

Is it just me or does the iTunes window in that screenshot look tapered??

I didn't notice that the first time, but after having a second look it does look tapered to me too. It's just an optical illusion, however. You can check it by using the selective snapshot (command-shift-4).
