Yeah, that's what I figured. The team I was playing with last night had a great attitude even though we were getting our asses handed to us.

That's cool by me. The only time I want to piss people off is the loud teenagers and over-aggressive clans.

The tubes must be slowed down with Mardi Gras beads and 'show your tits' T-shirts.
We pay $62/mo for 16Mb down, 8Mb up. With speedboost I can see up to 30Mb down, but the UL stays about the same.

Nothing, I work for the provider.

Not a campus connection, my house is right near (less than a mile) from the main hub for all of Hawaii. It's a fiber connection (which isn't available to most customers). Basically I have an enterprise level connection in my house. One of the perks of working for the company.

You know, I'd like to know what min and max ping the bars in MW2 represent.

I'd assume full green is 50ms or better, since that's the ping time the matchmaking system looks for in a host.
Dave is usually in the yellow when he plays with us, so I'd imagine yellow might be for 100ms and up. One red bar must be awful, like 300ms+

Alright I used this thing called google and the answer is, each bar is 100 ping. So 4 bars is <100 ms, 3 bars <200 ms, and 2 bars <300 ms.

Sh1t !! How do they (the matchmaking gods) expect people to be able to play with a 300ms ping time.
Played a bit tonight, the lag followed me but since I stuck to HC TDM (after some crappy -ve warm up games) it wasn't too bad.

They don't. You should never be in a game where you have orange lag.

Take your pick
Live in Hawaii and miss out on early gaming
or
Move to the east coast, buy a snow shovel, and game out.

Decisions decisions.
To avoid that black hole feeling that one gets around the 68 to 70 levels, I'm trying to get all my weapons past the 5000 XP mark so that the next level is 10000 XP. So last night I was using the FAL in HC TDM. With a Holo sight and silencer it really is a nice gun. I was also trying to get the tactical knife for the M9. All I can say is that using nothing but a pistol doesn't do your stats any good.
Over 10 days of playing and its still fun (overall). We do need some new maps though.

In the last game that I jumped into last night, I realized I was almost definitely going to be on the other team, but was in a pretty good mood and wanted to have some fun with it. I spent the entire game smiling as the whole squad kept screaming, "FATTY MCBLOBICUS!" every few seconds.
"WHERE IS FATTY?"
"F***ING FATTY!"
"MAN, I HATE FATTY!"

I am inching ever so slowly towards an overall 1:1 kill:death ratio.

I knew exactly what I was getting myself into that game, so I wasn't too terribly embarrassed.

Hey, just because the sex was consensual doesn't mean I can't enjoy it.

I would have asked him if he needed an invite back to game since it looked like he lost his connection.

As I mentioned to my friends, against mediocre teams we have become quite deadly on Karachi.

Haha, awesome.
By now I'm quite accustomed to being the team pariah, even if what the other team is complaining about has nothing to do with me.

I believe I was getting business done with the SPAS that match. Those kids should have been grateful I haven't unlocked the M1014 yet.

I know I was.
Although, I must say that it was my claymores that took you out at least twice during that match. I admit to planting them everywhere I could out of sheer terror that I was going to go 0-15 against y'all.

I'm about 35,000 away from my first prestige, so immediately afterward I'll be rediscovering the noob tube for a few challenges. I'm sure I'll get sworn out a few times once again.

Just to illustrate my dedication to mastery this prestige (and finishing Sleight of Hand, OMA), I have a grand total of 13 Thumper kills. For a weapon I passed 500 on long ago.

I'm starting to get the hang of the sniper rifle - I'm using the .50 Barrett. But I still won't make many kills with it. I usually end up changing to another class to break even on kills or get more kills. I do like the idea that the .50 Barrett is semi-auto - it helps for the occasional miss.
Now that I'm using the M4A1 rifle again, it seems to be even better than the ACR. I gotta check the stats between these 2 rifles. The FAMAS is fun again - like I'm sure Dakar said, it has the best iron sights I think.

Yeah, I ran into a team using it more than anything else, on Terminal yesterday. I think I changed matches after that one.
