What are the preferences among MacNN readers? I've only had a chance to test both and am trying to make an informed buying decision.

Toast for sure. Easy to use, works, no problems with it. Haven't used Discribe though, so I can only offer insight into Toast. If I had to pick either, I would go Toast.

Toast seems to be updated more regularly than Discribe has, and although discribe has a pretty interface, I believe Toast offers more functionality. Adaptec also offers the Jam program for those into audio and it's really the only choice short of Masterlist (and you have to have a ProTools system to have that work for you).

Macworld, my brother, and I all hate Discribe. The tech support is really bad, too. Go with toast.
