I am urgent need of help!!! I was to swap my ATI Radeon 8500 card from my old 'Sawtooth' to my new 'Digital Audio', but discovered they do not look the same. Is it possible to install my ATI R850 in the 'Digital Audio' viceversa? In the DA sits an ATI Rage 128 with an ADC and something else connection.

you can put the 8500 into the Digital Audio, but you won't be able to put original card from the DA (the one with the ADC) into the sawtooth...i think. the card with the ADC has an extra connection on the card which fits into a slot in ADC equipped motherboards; the sawtooth didn't have that. i don't really know if the card will physically fit into the sawtooth AGP slot, but if it does, then the ADC port on the card won't be functional.

Apple should have never used ADC. Why go against the standard that works.

That is corrects, about the fitting. I have the DA ADC card in my Sawtooth (on eBay now) and the 8500 in my DA. I must say I didn't notice any difference in performance in my DA when I put the 8500 in it. Very surprising as the ATI Rage128 has only 16MB VRAM when the 8500 has 64MB VRAM. How can that be?
