yea, maybe mine isnt going to arrive by the 29th, it was an edu order, but idk if that would affect it. But it is 8pm my time, even though it is 5 in Cali. i don't see how I would get it if it isnt shipped...unless it gets overnighted

I'm in Rochester, NY and it hasn't shipped for me... it better be here by Friday. I did the EDU discount as well. Still says Preparing Shipment. I can't install it until Sunday, but I won't have time next week so it needs to arrive by Friday.

Does 2-day shipping ship on Saturdays or does it just imply business days? I'm assuming just business days otherwise that would be too expensive. Apple should of just made the release for a Wednesday.

All apples orders will be based on buisness days, as the couriers charge way too much, at least over here they do (like �20 $40). I bet it appears on Friday for you.

I just received my shippment email from Apple(few mins ago). I order it the day I could order it at 8am (CT). It left Memphis, TN at 12:46 with schedule delivery of 4:30 on Friday. BTW, it was an EDU order.

Yay! Mine has shipped. An EDU order placed around 7:30pm CST the day Tiger was released. Shipped via Fedex 2day, Origin Cordova, TN? ETA this friday on/before 4:30pm.

If i recall correctly as long as its out of the container units they dont care. but if its in the containers they wont do it. They wouldnt let me get my ipod shuffle on sat because it was still in the air containers.

Its also interesting that middletown pa is only 4.5 hours away. So depending on if fedex has a direct route from middletown to rochester will depend if it comes by tomorrow. Or if the package has to go to buffalo or syracuse first before it comes to rochester.

Very true. But then again, even if it does route through Buffalo or Syracuse first, those locations are only an hour away, which would still probably put it in Rochester tomorrow. I guess only time will tell.

also in the "preparing shipment" phase. ordered on the 12th through apple.com edu store. all i'm hoping for is that the order's already on its way and the store hasn't been updating itself often.

either it was shipped yesterday to make the 2-day shipping target or it will go out today overnight.

I have ordered the education one but I still have not received an email from Apple telling me it has shipped. No big deal any way because FedEx says that I will receive it by 4:30pm on 04/29

How did you find out the status? Did you call Apple or FedEx? I'm just wondering because I placed an educational order on 4/12 and my status is still preparing shipment according to the website.

I recieved an email confirming that it was shipped at 4:50 PM PST today. My new 1 GB stick of RAM should arrive the same day. On top of that, school's out early on Friday. Ah, life is good.

I imagine he checked the Web site. It gives you a tracking number if your copy has shipped. My copy went out (and was registered as such on the Web site) about 12 hours before I got the "Hey, we shipped it" e-mail.

I have just been on Apple website that has just been updated for my shippment at least. According to Fedex, it was shipped this morning at 9:20Am but it is only tonight, about 9PM that Apple store showed it. At 7:30PM, last time I checked, it did not show at shipped.

However, I still have not received an email from Apple telling me it was shipped.

I ordered something once and it didn't get sent out until like 11:20PM..
pretty late.

mine is still preparing shipment and is due to be sent out "on or before 28th".
I was planning on going to just pick it up friday at the local apple store with my education discount, however, after hearing something on here i called and found out for software you can only get the discount online so i didnt even make an order until the 26th.

EDIT:
I got the standard free shipping but i was wandering if there is anyway i could change my shipping method now or if it's too late.
I know i cant make changes to my order but thought maybe i could do that.
