I ordered AppleCare with my new MacPro. While the computer isn't scheduled to ship until mid Feb, the AppleCare says it shipped and i was charged. However, i never received anything in the mail.

For those of you who ordered the new computer, have you received your AppleCare yet (if you ordered it)?

That seems odd. I would rather think the Applecare would be charged and "shipped" at the same time as the computer. Applecare does not "activate" until the hardware is registered, so no problem there.

It's a small box that gets shipped... unless you got the "auto-enroll" kit... then that activates when your Mac Pro ships. Check the order and the tracking...

Same here, AppleGirl. Mine said it had shipped and was delivered, but I have nothing here.

That happens quite often. Since its just a "box" with a CD in it. They'll ship that puppy before the MP is ready to roll.

Probably just Apple processing different parts of an order "as available."

The Apple Care for the new MP's is Auto Enroll. You are charged, but receive no box. No info on a Tech Tools Disk like the old days.

When you start up your new MP and register it's serial# your Apple care is activated. You then receive a letter confirming this in 7-10 days.

Notice on your order next to Apple care. It states /AE. Auto Enroll. Remember, it's a Green World.

So we no longer get a TechTools disk?

Yeah, that seems to happen whenever I order a Mac online, the AppleCare comes before the computer. I do find it annoying they charge for items when they ship, so you get charged for AppleCare right away, even if it's a long wait for your computer. Not the end of the world, but annoying.
