So yeah, I'm dusting off the old resume. I'm looking for ideas for a new look, I'd like it to have a little more "flair" than the navy blue and black Word doc format it's currently in. All the ones I see online seem "TOO DESIGNY" to me, who does corporate in-house design. I want it to look nice, but like it still belongs in an office.

Ideas? Suggestions? Links? Inspiration?

For designers the current trend seems to be making a website targeted at a particular company.

I don't know from trends, but I'd aim at a well-designed resume that shows good typography, hierarchy, with a touch of personality. It does depend on your audience though, if you design something cool you will still have to keep that old word doc for some stone-age HR depts who only take word docs not PDF. Either way I'd trend away from the interactive origami swan sent in a hand-crafted balsa box decopaged with hieroglyphics.

<badly spelled anything<<<boring ugly word doc <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<basic functional resume>>>>>>>>>classy design>>>>>>>>> interactive origami experience

I've posted my resume before, but it's looking a little dull to my eyes now.
