Please leave all bug reports and feature requests here. To simplify processing, please use the following scheme:

Subject Line: A short summary of the issue
Reproducibility: Were you able to reproduce and verify this problem consistently?
Steps to Reproduce: What steps should we take to see the problem occur?
Expected: What action did you expect to occur when this bug appeared?
Notes: Any additional information that will help us diagnose the issue
Browser: What browser was used?
Link: Link to any relevant thread/post/article/product page

Also, feel free to leave feature requests. As mentioned in the other thread regarding the Huddler migration, we cannot make any promises … yet. We'll keep you posted on the progress.
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

We all know that forums.macnn.com needs to point to the forums index as it always has (currently found at forums.macnn.com/f). That URL is hard coded in my brain, not to mention my browsers.

Is there an easy way to see a reduced image full-size?

We've noticed too. And our requests are about as successful.

However, I have had luck clicking on reduced images.

If I click a reduced image, a get a pop-up. HOwever if I right-click the pop-up and open in new tab I can get the full size. Seems pointless.

THIS THIS THIS THIS THIS.

If I was only allowed to make one change to the new forums, it'd be this.

Query: What am I doing wrong that none of the links I post show up with the title rather than the address, unlike before?

I don't know how, but the insert image button's functionality is even worse than before.

That was a feature of vBulletin, most likely not even thought of with this forum software.

Is a forum-specific ban still possible? I'm no longer banned from the Political Lounge. Just briefly venturing into a few threads has severely damaged my faith in humanity once again.

I've not seen any option for forum-specific banning. Of course, I'm merely a mortal Moderator. There may be some super-secret Admin power, but I'm not betting on it. Banning seems to be an all-or-nothing thing now.

Enjoy!

The auto-replace links is gone. Considering that a lot of us hated it, I'm fine with that... it also means that you can select some text and click the link button and it will wrap it for you.

This is in the BBCode editor. If you have not been switched to this in your settings, go do this.

Then I'm guessing it remains for older posts? That or posters are a more industrious bunch than I would have guessed.

It also adds to the already exceedingly cumbersome nuisance that is this site on iPad.

We have thread-specific bans now. I've long dreamed of having thread bans so people can't reply and take threads off-topic.

I'll look into forum bans, see if something's available.

Didn't know about thread-level bans. That's cool! It would kind of odd to have site-wide bans and thread-level bans, but no forum-level bans.

There's nothing on a per-forum basis. Unless we set up a special usergroup without PWL access.

The per-thread bans don't look too useful. All that came to mind was banning Cash from car threads.

Could we color code the NewsPoster threads so our eyes can more easily glaze over them as we scan New Posts?

Is it me or do single thread pages take much longer to load than the previous design?

For those that think people will bitch at any change, bad or good, check out this thread, from the 2007 update. The responses were overwhelmingly positive, with very few "can I use the old system" requests. Compare that to now...

Also,

[quote name="Gossamer"]-I can't staaaaand the sigs on the right. Can this be made into an option? Due to my aforementioned widescreen, I have to move all the way across the page to see who's who. I know people better by their sigs than their names, so I'm really missing out. More options ARE better.[/quote]

Looks like I win this round.

When you access the "Community Home" link, there's a list of active recent threads there, which is all well and good, but...

you might consider not showing Pol/War threads there, buy default -- it makes us look like a bunch of raving loonies.

The people who post only in there ARE, for the most part, raving loonies.

Lock the forum and throw away the key.

I feel like you're saying this, while tied to a chair with a gag in your mouth you managed to move enough to get this muffled statement out.

BTW, the first question seems like it should be answerable since it has nothing to do with making a proposed change. Is the huddler platform slower than our previous forum incarnation?

The insert video tag appears to have issues. I can view the post below just fine on my desktop but no video appears on my iPad.
