I'm accessing the internet via airport on my powerbook in 10.4, but when I try to address a networked printer via ethernet, 10.4 tries to address the printer wirelessly when airport is on. If I turn airport off, it works.

Is there any way to print to a network printer via ethernet while airport is on?

thanks

Go into Applications/Utilities/Printer Setup Utility and make sure that you don't have multiple versions of your printer in your Printer List.
