How do you organize your photos in iPhoto. I have over 8400 photos and the way I do it is with keywords. I tag every photo at least one keyword. The different keywords that I use are:

Our Family, Family, Friends, Mine, My wife's, Daughter 1, Daughter 2, Work, Movie, Vacation, Farm, Other.

It is nice because I have a few smart albums that only show pictures of each daughter and one that show only pictures of our family from the last 60 days. The only thing you have to do is remember to keyword the photos when you import them.

Just thought I would post this and see how everyone else organizes their photos.

Keywords. Totally.

First thing I do after an import is to to "last import" and give every photo at least one keyword. I also have a smart album for photos with no keyword, so if I miss any they are easy to locate.

I'm so far behind. 12K photos and maybe 500 are tagged with something. Sigh.
