I don't think this has been mentioned elsewhere, but you can now apply effects to pages that you want to print via colorsync:

Yeah, I noticed that. Pretty nifty. Don't know how much it will be used though...

Another thing I just noticed with the new Safari Build 1.1(v92) is that large images will scroll down from the top of the window while loading. Only the first time (not in cache), but still pretty cool.

So does v85 (and earlier).

Hence the "I just noticed"-part.

Here are a few things I found while digging into Panther files a little.

- I guess will show up on the G5 when your side is "ajar".

- New boot panel window in 7B39

- New Bluetooth mouse image

Is that mouse icon used JUST for Bluetooth? Or for USB too?

If it's only for BT, then it looks like Apple's BT mouse will be just like the current mouse. And one-button again.

I suppose it might be safe to say that the *new* bluetooth mouse will look pretty much like the old one, except maybe in regard to colouring.

Anyhow, anyone wanting to know about performance (7B39): on my iMac DV 400 the speed is very good now, not as fast as OS 9 but I'd say as fast as I want it to be.

However, the biggest speed difference comes from the way sheets drop down very quickly now, and switching pref panes etc is very fluid. Best of all, saving ram contents on shutdown now takes about 10 seconds instead of 30/40.

Hey, I'm wondering if you guys have the same problem by uploading the digital camera pictures on iphoto/image capture?? I couldn't do mine (Nikon Coolpix 4300). Is there any solution?

It doesn't save anything to disk to speed boot times. You can verify this by checking the scripts.

I know that.. but it's a pain.. I want it seamlessly incorporated, it's a Macintosh after all right?

it would be good to have URL applications on for all apps...

My quick notes on 39:

2nd monitor still doesn't work (sgi monitor/formac card)... just shows up as grey.

Entourage crashes on launch (other office apps work fine)

Seems a bit quicker in Expose on older machines.

Help is finally fast enough to be useful.

you gotta be joking... it's called the internet, and on it you can get a near endless supply of pictures, or whatever, to use for your desktop.
