I am having some problems configuring entourage/mail on a friend's Mac. His computer was able to function fine using Mail.app prior to his HD crashing. I had to reinstall everything on a new HD for him, and unfortunately he did not have a backup of his mail settings.
Here is what I know. The school we are at has a Microsoft Exchange Server. When configuring windows machines to access the outgoing mail server there is a box that I have to check called Secure Password Authentication (SPA) which encrypts the password.
I can get a mac (his and my own) to receive mail, but I cannot get it to send mail because there is no corresponding box to check in entourage/mail.app that I can find. Can anyone help me here.
