Something about this shot, I like it. Especially the scatttered splashes of color, including the red that just sits out in the open in the sidebar. I really like this.

I like this one too. But for different reasons. This one is more colorful, but has color in the right places.

And this one, superb. Nice use of blue and gray. With a single splash of red to signify the Levi logo.

I thought of this after seeing 10.1 mentioned elsewhere.
It's retro screenshot time!

Applegeeks site is really cool, so is that desktop, but it doesnt beat Star Wars* guys sister. He uploaded a picture of her in a similar pose.
* He has a larger and cooler nickname but since I like the whole Star Wars Universe I much preffer name him that way.

All you people who got rid of your menubar, how do you navigate stuff? How is it done? How are you getting used to it? Where are your troops and can I go there and count them?

id take another hack at making your desktops. they are usually horrendously blurry and clash with everything else in your snapshot.

As for myself, I navigate with Butler (shortcut Ctrl-0) or Cmd-TAB.
Furthermore, the menubar isn't actually gone : it pops up when you hover over it, and does that even quicker than the Dock.
Depending on your apps you'd have alternatives like toolbars, palettes, keyboard shortcuts (I for one never pick a Save or Print command from the menu).
After about a week I think it's fair to say that I'm getting pretty used to work without the menubar.

So your saying butler hides the menubar? I'm a quicksilver advocate, but if butler will hide my menubar (while preserving system stability), i might make the switch.

Sorry for perhaps having been a bit unclear but no, Butler does not hide the menubar. MenuShade does that.
Jasoco was asking "How do you navigate stuff ?", so I referred to my Butler custom shortcut Ctrl-0 that pops up a list of running apps - and that's my way of navigation without a menubar. I trust QS lets you do a similar trick.

I use cmd-tab to switch apps, and I'm going to try to start using Peter_Maurer's Witch, since it lets you switch between windows in any application.

You mean Royal Inspiriat? Looks like it's got the start button thing to me. Unless I'm missing something, which is entirely possible. It's been a long day.

Thank you very much Makki. I am going to use the orange HDs as icons to the FireWire HDs partitions I have since they are also orange as default.
