I never updated to ios9, waiting til the bugs were out, and here it is ios10 now. My phone will only go as far as ios 9.3.5, and I'd like to keep my devices on the same ios to avoid confusing myself.

How do I get the older version for my ipad air? I don't see an option in the store/app/etc.

You don't, anymore. Apple has stopped signing iOS 9 for devices that can get iOS 10. They do this to force people to upgrade. Only 10.1 and 10.1.1 can be installed right now. Only way around it is if you save the "stubs" (called SHSH blobs) that includes the signature - then you can upgrade and downgrade freely. Jailbreakers do this frequently.
The new Mac Pro has up to 30 MB of cache inside the processor itself. That's more than the HD in my first Mac. Somehow I'm still running out of space.

ah, thanks. I don't think I'm up to jailbraking/hacking of any kind. Might be simplest to just get a new phone that can run 10.2.

spent 10 minutes tapping the home button to unlock and accidentally getting siri.

I must be getting old. Is this what being old is like?
