Hello, is there an Applescript or UNIX command I can use in a script to log out the user without asking them first (so they're automatically logged out when the script is run)? Thanks

BTW, This script is for Jaguar, not Panther

There is an appleevent that you can send to the Finder or loginwindow, I think. Don't know what it is offhand, I suggest you do a search on the developer site.

You can kill the /System/Library/CoreServices/SystemUIServer.app/Contents/MacOS/SystemUIServer process and it will log you out immediately.

It will NOT save the documents in any open applications.
