Powerbook, 17 inch, buy now for 1100 euro.

Not a scrap of interest, seller has a rating.

7 hours to go, I'm tempted to put up a 500 euro bid, I mean I could more than double that selling it on, er, ebay, or not?

(note to the mods, this is not spam, I'm just curious as to what breed of slippery fish this may be)

Anyone know of a "ebay scam top 10" or something?

Edit: forgot the link.

Well I can't tell you for sure if its a scam or not, but what i can tell you is that the photograph that it shows at the bottom is the box of a 15" Titanium powerbook NOT a 17" Aluminum Powerbook.

So, either scam or REALLY stupid ebayer. Either way, stay away!

Hope this helps,

Rich

"OS provided Mac OS X 10.2 Jaguar"

Was that pre or post the 17 inch?

Anyhow's staying away for the meantime, still curious if the seller has sold 200 three dollar items to try and make a hit out of this one.

I've seen a lot of auctions *exactly* like this in the US with the same exact theme and text, and hell, the pictures look the same too (just stolen from someone's real auction).

(scam gets my vote)

The first 17" models came with 10.2, still months before 10.3
